I’ve been a fantasy artist my entire life. There isn’t a moment where I’m sitting there making up worlds, creatures and characters.
I love a lot of video games, comics and fantasy books which is a major source of inspiration when I sit down to draw or paint.

“Making a Wish”
I am an avid lover of dragons and mythological creatures. I find myself making up obscure backstories for these paintings while I’m painting them because when I am emotionally attached to the creatures and characters, their existence in my paintings tend to tell their own story.
In the painting “Making a Wish”, a young maiden prays to her ancestors in seek of a huge favor, one so large that even your soul can be placed up for collateral. In order to receive a substantial gift from the gods you must have something of equal value to trade in return. It is difficult to imagine the type of wish she may be conjuring in this image because the God sent to grant it is massive on biblical proportions and therefor is a representation of her request. Everything comes at a cost.
